Real-time analytics is the leading edge of a smart data revolution, pushed by Internet advances in sensor hardware on one side, and AI/ML streaming acceleration on the other.
The National Science Foundation University of Miami Center for Accelerated Real Time Analytics (NSF UM CARTA) explores the realm of streaming applications of Magna Analytics. NSF UM CARTA works with next-generation hardware technologies, like the TRITON Supercomputer, built using IBM Power Systems AC922 servers designed to maximize data movement between the IBM POWER9 CPU and attached accelerators. This will lead to the automated ingestion and simultaneous analytics of Big Datasets generated in various domains including Cyberspace, Health Care, the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Scientific arena, and the creation of self-learning, self-correcting “smart” systems.
